In talking to a former RV salesman, and reading online, I understand that dealerships generally pay about 10% BELOW the low book value - in this case, probably ~$30k.

When I look up the exact model in NADA, the low book is $33,300. The bank was backed up and got back to me in 4 days with an acceptable offer - financing ~$44k. it looks clean, inside and out, it fits my list, and it's listed for $55k (in Portland, OR), so I put a small refundable deposit down, and started working with the bank to setup financing. I narrowed down my requirements, and have been watching for something that fits my short list.Įventually, a 2005 Fleetwood Expedition 37U came up online that I liked. I finally came to the "It's time to look for a Class A to buy" and I've spent about 4 months of serious studying, reading, watching, and talking to other friends who have RVs. I've been studying RV life casually for about 3 years, but seriously for about 8 months. Submitted by ericisonline to GoRVing Ģ020.07.10 09:50 DTavres Another newbie. First RV, looking in this 25-28ft range, <$30k. I've lost a ton deals over the past month bc I wasn't quick enough. Give me your thoughts and wish me luck! The buyers market is nutso right now. However, does that warrant a price warrant $10k over nadaguides base? Ehhh, owner says he's flexible so we'll see how great it really is.

Engine sounds very well maintained from our convo.

Never any leaks (that overhead cab pic is felt coming off, easy fix). Stored outside but owner said roof is painted every 2 years. However, it appears and sounds meticulously maintained. There was delam pointed out by redditors, owner shrugged it off. The feedback taught me so much what to look out for. I had amazing feedback on the last listing I posted here and went to see.
